Exquisite desserts and the best wines of the Robertson Valley, including the handcrafted Fraai Uitzicht 1798 Merlot, compliment a memorable meal.
Highly recommended and one of Fraai Uitzicht 1798 most indulgent experiences is The Fine Wine and Dine Menu, a seven-course set menu, with specially selected wines to accompany each course. The menu also includes coffee and Brandy.
HISTORIC WINE CELLAR
Visit the historic wine cellar, one of the oldest in the valley, and see the original woodwork and handcrafted beams. In this ancient atmosphere the handcrafted Merlot is produced as a joy of life.
Many vintages are available from this historic wine cellar, but currently we are enjoying the Merlot 2004and Merlot 2005. The release of Merlot 2006 is planned for early 2009, whilst the Merlot 2008 is maturing in new French and American barrels.

Auf Ihrem Weg von Kapstadt (1,5 Stunden) zur "Garden Route" ist dies ein perfekter Ort fuer einen laengeren Urlaub, um die Ruhe dieser Gegend zu geniessen und die weltberuehmten Wein-Estates der Robertson Wein Strasse zu erforschen.
Fraai Uitzicht 1798 bedeutet schoene, freie Aussicht und tatsaechlich, auf dieser 175 Hektar grossen Wein und Obstfarm waehlen Sie Ihre eigene Lieblingsaussicht ueber die Taeler, Berge, Seen, Weinberge und Obstfelder!
Auf dieser Farm sind 1999 vier Ferienhaeuser mit herrlichen Blick im typischen Baustil dieser Gegend entstanden. Alle sind gemuetlich eingerichtet mit Kamin, TV, Stereoanlage, kompletter Kueche, Sonnenliegen und herrlichen Betten. Vor jeder Einheit befindet sich eine grosse Terasse mit Liegestuehlen. Unser Grillplatz mit Pizzaofen laedt zu einem zuenftigen "suedafrikanischen Braai" ein.
In den neu erbauten, separaten Haeuschen Merlot und Shiraz sind Sie von bunt bluehenden Rosen-, Kraeuter- und Bambusgaerten umgeben, nur wenige Meter vom wunderschoenen Schwimmbad und dem alten Damm mit reichhaltigen Vogelleben entfernt.
Cabernet und Sauvignon sind neu renovierte Einheiten, die aus dem ehemaligen Farmhaus entstanden sind und die im Stil der alten Tage eine ganz besondere Atmosphere ausstrahlen. Cabernet und Sauvignon sind umgeben von Weinbergen und nur etwa 200 Meter vom Schwimmbad und den Gaerten entfernt.
In naechster Umgebung empfehlen wir Ihnen: Privater Tierpark und Safari, Pferdegestuete und Reiten auf Arabern, Kaktusgarten, heisse Quellen mit Spa und Gym, Flossfahrt mit Weinprobe, Gelaendewagen- und Traktortouren, Bergklettern auf den Langeberg Mountain, herrliche Wanderwege.
