During the 1870's, high in the crevices of the Drakensberg escarpment which rises to the west of Sabi Sabi, gold was discovered. To transport the gold, the parliament of the Old Transvaal Republic commissioned a railway line from the interior to Delagoa Bay in Mozambique. A branch railway known as the Selati Line crossed the Sabi Sand Reserve.

Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge is bush paradise with conference facilities for up to 100 delegates. Even though Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge cannot accommodate all the delegates in their bedrooms, with the 3 sister lodges at hand, arrangements can be made. Anything is possible with enough time and detail given. Whether you want to have meetings, a product launch or group incentives, the team at the lodge can make it happen.

Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge serves as the flagship property for all the 4 lodges. There are 25 large, air-conditioned and en-suite thatched suites. You will be blown away by the service and efficiency of the staff. Overlooking the waterhole, you can stand on your deck and spot the variety of wildlife coming in for a drink of water.

At Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge, one of the highlights of your accommodation are the stunning meals. Inside the restaurant, boma or in the bush, you will enjoy palate taunting cuisine. Summoned by a Kudu horn, a variety of dishes lay before you to spoil yourself with.

Bush Lodge has 25 beautifully appointed suites including the luxurious Mandleve Presidential Suite.  Each suite is air-conditioned, has mini-bar, tea & coffee making facilities, en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower.  The Mandleve Suite has its own plunge pool.
