DescriptionRecharge your soul and rediscover romance – a holiday at White Bridge farm will add years to your life! Surrounded by breathtaking mountain and orchard views, the self-catering cottage, river cabins and group area, the "Olive Rock", are all nestled amongst the White Bridge Farm orchards adjacent to the Vreede river. We produce a variety of fruit for the export market – world class citrus, pears, plums and a couple of other interesting crops. Accommodation consists of one B&B unit and 3 self-catering units and the Olive Rock which is for group events and one B&B on request . The two open plan design river cabins sleep 4 people each. They are beautifully constructed from natural resources such as timber, stone and bamboo and both have lovely decks over the bank of the river. The impressive “Dixons Peak” looms overhead across the river. The accommodation consists of a double bed in each unit and two single futons in the loft area. The cabins are equipped with fridge, microwave oven, a two plate stove and all the little extras that a normal kitchen requires. There is also a beautiful fireplace in each and braai facilities outside. Linen and towels are supplied. These cabins are very popular for their situation, charm and atmosphere that they provide. “Impangele” – meaning guinea fowl, due to the large numbers in the area, is a larger self-catering unit with a full bathroom, queen size bed, a double bunk bed and a double fold out sleeper in the lounge. It is ideal for 4 people but will sleep up to 6. It’s construction is of brick and mortar and also has a lovely wooden deck facing the mountains. There is also an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai facilities. You can witness the most magnificent sunsets from the deck of Impangele. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, microwave oven, two plate stove and all the little extras that a normal kitchen requires. This unit is beautifully decorated and has a true holiday atmosphere about it. The "Olive Rock" derives it's name from a book written by a close family member called "The Olive Tree and The Rock" by P.E. Stanford. It is our wish to adopt this theme throughout the area over time in memory of the author. One double B&B room in a building adjacent to the main homestead is available on request. Guests join the household for a breakfast along with the family who are in residence at the time.
